What year did FLC start with the fender mounted headlights.? Does that have to do with the aluminum to fiberglass hood transition.?

Seen some with the double round Pete style lights hanging off the grill surround..

    Exactly.! Not a vest fan..

So funny story. I acquired this from a buddy who claims to have lifted it from a gym around San Diego I believe.? Round '98, '99 ish.?
I used too love wearing it out to the clubs, titty bars. Stripes glow'n under the black light would always attract attention, sometimes the wrong kind.!! Lol. :D:D Corleto jr. Rotflao

What's the deal the 3406b model.? What kind of fuel mileage could I expect out it.. That's the biggest thing that steers me away from Cats. I hear they like too drink..

Any reputable shops that can tune the pump still around.?
Just from the pics I seen, it looks good. But hard to tell without seeing in person. Honestly the price is exactly what I want to spend. Then I can sell my single off at my leisure..

Pops pulled doubles with a 435 Detroit hauling steel. What more do you need!

    Let alone a year with a 238.

Yellow is for dozzers! And fuel usage!

Aluminum hoods had the round style lights. Glass hoods were square. Pete and FL had those longer than anyone. I think about 85 it was a option. Insurance companies wanted glass hoods. Less cab damage in a rearend collision. I cant say of Pete or FL was first.

    Gotcha..

So I was meaning to ask for a while now if you knew anything about this.. What's the deal with these weird single round headlights that have been fitted into the fld120 aero bucket.? Seen a few now..

I had a 475 c-15 in a t-2000 pulling a covered wagon got mid 7's consistently. Its all how ya drive them. I've owned Detroit, cummins, cats. I just prefer a yella engine. Easy to work on. But they don't offer them anymore for trucks and they are starting to get scares to find. I got three spare engines sitting in my parts room. I'm pretty well covered for my life time.

LoL, 3 spares.!! I like your style.! Yep, that should last you a while..

I was just concerned a b model might have me in the 5-5.5mpg range.? Maybe I'm wrong? Never run one..

What was that, around '09.? The SDP Caterpillar really screwed them. Ya know though, they must have DEF model Cats now for all the heavy machinery. Figure all the bugs would be close to worked out, at least as well as the other engine makers. Wonder why Cat don't give it a go again in the on road segment.. :(
