Hi, I have a 2005 630. The ac compressor would intermittently quit for a few minutes for a few times every hour even with the temp knob turned to max cool. It would just blow warm air in the mean time.
If I turned off and restarted the engine the ac compressor would work for a few minutes then quit again in a few minutes. After a few minutes it would work again and repeated few minutes later.
Where should I start looking? I am thinking may be either the coil temp probe or the ac low side cut off sensor under the windshield?

Just want to clarify when the compressor was working I got nice cool air. It would cycle on and off normally. when the compressor decided to quit I got warm moist air. And it happened randomly ie something at idle and while on highway as well. But if I restarted the engine it mostly would start working again.
Assuming the Freon amount is correct then what is the next most likely cause? It has been going on for a couple years and there wasn’t any leak in the system.Last edited: Jul 20, 2020

@DUNE-T had a similar issue. Hopefully he’ll be along shortly.
