Make sure you get the new one seated in there right. Or you’ll have one headlite pointing up at the trees or some other direction.

Just run your high beams all the time

My question is: are they the same bulb type/number?
Say you are driving along and a headlight goes out. Can you pop the hood and replace the bulb with the one from the high beam?
They may be the same bulb but focused differently in the housing. Might save you some trouble in the future not having to limp with a "black eye" and draw attention.Rideandrepair and farmerjohn64 Thank this. -
Don't touch the halogen bulbs with your fingers when you remove them from the box! That cardboard wrapper is there for a reason.

My truck uses different bulbs for high and low beam.
I keep extra low beams in the truck as well as extra trailer lights. No reason to get a violation for something that takes 5 minutes to swap out.Rideandrepair and farmerjohn64 Thank this. -
