A guy from Canada was in our yard a year or two ago in a brand new shiny Argosy. Didn't realize how rare it was. Of course now that I know, I haven't seen another one to snap a photo of.

You put your life on the line 10 times a day
By just climbing in and out of a cabover.
It's even more fun when you have to move
    Your belongings in and out.

One day I decided that I would try V/C, so I parked my truck. Went to work for V/C, boy that didn't last long. I picked up a load up in NJ going to Washington D C with 3 stops and this was on a Friday. So I figured I would just drop it on V/C yard there in Baltimore and they would deliver it on Monday. LOL
Got to Baltimore, went in, gave paper work to dispatcher and he said, "no you will deliver it Monday, we will get you a ride to Richmond and on Sunday you catch a ride back up here and deliver these stops on Monday.
Well, you talk about a "conflict", to make a long story short. I quit there in Baltimore. Left the truck and load. Got my stuff, walked around the corner and one of their drivers going to Richmond came around the corner picked me up.
Got to Richmond, got my car and went home. Put my stuff back into my cab-over. This had to be between '82 and '85. Been so long, i don't remember.

Old cabover, or brand new truck. Sounds a little bit, all or nothing. Two extremes. Has to be a compromise in there somewhere. Cabovers look cool these days. Even old JB International’s, with a chrome bumper look nice. Not very practical though. Too many aggravations, from the ride, to the inconvenience of interior, and having to Jack it up, for minor maintenance. I couldn’t do it, myself. I’m spoiled, power steering, a/c, stand up room. Don’t miss running the Cabovers.

I wouldn’t mind having a nice k100 aero, but with the price they want. I just lay down until The feeling has passed.
