Although I will add i was given a written warning by Arizona for obstructing the highway, for stopping for like 20 seconds on the side street next to The TA in Wilcox.

Awesome. Starting Greensboro nc. I figured West Memphis first day.

I don't like night driving but may suck it up just because.

Looking forward to a day of baccarat in LV.

    Haven't had a vacation in 15 years.

Night driving on 40 is easy going. Last trip i did that way was statesville nc to corona ca. Ran over nights all 3 days. Can easily pull of 700 miles no problem and have a great parking spot when ur done

It's been a few years since I stopped in Vegas, then there were several in North LVwith truck parking. There was one just west of the strip. It could be gone by know. Just west of Hoover the Casino s had parking.

Remember if you will have to stop at the NM Port of Entry and buy a trip permit as you probably do not have a NM Fuel Tax Account if you run regional in NC. I think its like 16 cents a mile and they just ask you your destination and they calculate the tax. I believe there is a service fee as well. They take credit card.

Unless you are going to start running out that way its easier to buy the permit for each time you cross the state rather than have to file quarterly tax out there like you do in KY and NY.

And you will probably be stopped in AZ at Port as well and asked to show your IFTA permit. You may get prepass if you have it but not likely. And like other posters said watch the work zones out there.
