You really did it this time, Rolls Canardly!

I made a monumental blunder.
(I tell not only the good - but also the bad, as you may have found out about me already.)
Some guys lives are just all roses and cotton candy, yeah, right. Never screwed up royally. Sure.

I go to pick up a car about 30 miles from home base and decide to stop for an Ice tea
at my local gas station. I Pull into lot; it's a 80 foot semicircle arc with curbing between lot and street.
Come out and just drive away - and bam, I hook the curbing end with rear fuel tank bracket.
This in turn twists and bends upward, and slices the aluminum tank, making a cut like a fan spray nozzle.
So I back around curb; wider this time, and fly out the mile back to my Garage.
I fly in and grab the cut off bottom of 50 gallon plastic drum, and slide it in under the cut tank.
Wow.
But it ain't over till its over.
That only takes care of about half of fuel in the tank.
So I slide that one out, and slide the next one into place. And do it a third time, until it finally runs empty.
So, now there is a fan spray of diesel up my road a mile - leading right to me!
I call PSP and ask them to get PENDOT here, to sand a fuel spill on a blacktop road; it gets slippery.
Next I get a Trooper car pulling in, with all the "what happened" questions.
I explained not 20 feet from where this happened there is a storm drain, and I knew it goes into a nearby stream, so I flew home to catch most of it. We looked at the drum ends, an friggered I lost about 2 gallons.
That was good for me, cause anything over 5 gallons is a DEP reportable spill. So..... no ticket.
That was Sunday about 6:00 PM, and by Monday 6:00 PM I had tank off, pressure washed, and welded up.

We look at the pictures and comment on "how did this or that happen" or "what was he thinking,"
Well, I now resemble that remark.
The curb end I caught was no higher than the rest of the curbing, but there is a shallow depression along it
that made my rear tires dip, and lowered me just enough, from the marks, to catch by about 1/2."
So lets have it - I can take it.
