Not sure if this is a right place to post, but, here it is...
I decided to run team again, so I got me a driver.
OK, what's so strange about it, all of you are asking, right?
I found him on this forum...
Noticed that he was from the same city as me, looking for a OTR job, and I asked him if he wants a job.
Guess what? He took it... He is at the orientation right now...
Very nice guy...Newbie, but has skills...My company's safety guy that took him for a road test was pleased(which very rarely happens), and said that he was very good.
First trip or two, we will go to west coast, and than a dedicated Florida run. One run per week, fresh cut flowers, about 2800 miles per week.
Before you start saying that that's not enough miles for a team, consider that he is getting paid $800 per trip for a start, and $900 after 3 months at the latest. I'm letting you figure out his CPM...If he proves himself, he will be getting $900 as of day one.
In my opinion, not bad for two and a half days of work...We are both free to do whatever we want the rest of the week.
So, Truckers Report , put this one in one of your success stories...
Cheers,
MiaKica
P.S. I didn't put his name here, if he wants to, he can reply, and confirm this story

Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Wow he must be some kind of sucker to fall for that kind of scam! I bet he listens to rap music too!
Obviously I'm kidding. I am MiaKica's new team driver. He approached me a few weeks ago about a job. At first it seemed very strange and I didn't totally buy it. I thought maybe it was some form of spam but I figured there was no harm in saying I was interested. He contacted me last week, met up with him and I did a driving test yesterday and orientation today. I don't have enough good things to say about MiaKica and the carrier he runs for. They have treated me very well thus far and I'm very excited to do my first real run as a truck driver. I have much to learn. The Challenger, shriner75, Ducks and 2 others Thank this. -
