I had one worse than a rollover try having a Fatal accident. Yes I was able to continue my career and until I lost my CDL due to a medical issue I was still out there loving the job. What happened in my accident try having something that was about a 1 in a billion chance of ever happening in your life occur. I was in an emergency braking situation already due to a brake check in front of me basically from a car that had passed me than decided they wanted to make a turn. Then throw in a parking brake line that blew off a 30/30 on the truck. Then getting hit on my drivers side right under the drivers seat of the cab. It hit me hard enough that it literally threw the cab forward and flipped it and when it stopped its movement I was 20 feet from the frame of the truck. The other car involved I missed the one that brake checked me had enough energy in his impact to continue on and hit the trailer and bent the landing gear leg on the drivers side 90 degrees to the frame that is 3/8 inch plate steel where it mounts to the bottom rail. That was the part where it bent. His speed at the time of impact was 75 in a 45 mine was 14 according to the recon of the accident.

Worse is when, in stop and go traffic, they get along side and then, after everyone stops they pull in front of the truck and exclaim to the cop "I was sitting here, stopped, and he hit me!".....and the cop isn't trained to look for these types of situations...

I had a blowover, 4 months after I started with the company, 22 yrs later, still with the same company. 3 or 4 coworkers backed me and defended me to the bosses. Was never cited, though CSP was called, mother nature worked in my favor, earlier in the day there had been a high wind restriction in place, but an hour before my blowover the changed it an advisory. Trooper said that in the area where it happened, freak gusts were not uncommon, and I was lucky I didn't go with it. Now, I don't take chances with the wind.

There's a bunch of them and several are members of this TTR forum.
    A rollover doesn't end a trucking career.

Just about every logger I know has flopped a truck at some point. If not flopped it, slid it into a ditch at least. #### happens.
