That can make for a long day, but at least you for the most part won’t be bothered.

I did. I wasn’t thrilled about it being a night run, but that much more money right off the bat was too hard to turn down.

Very true. So far you’re right, when I’m on that long run, I don’t hear a peep. They send my pickups to me about 30 minutes after I leave the yard and I don’t hear anything for the rest of the day.

One nice thing about doing a run like that on a Saturday is no pickups either. ;)

This is odd, not saying it didn't happen, but why would SAIA set up a interview and then turn around and blow it off, this is completely opposite of my hiring experience with them, my difficulties happened during the application process, applied four times over a period of a year and finally got a interview with them on the fourth time, after that though, the interview hiring process was fast with no snags, had a job with them in about three weeks from day of interview and two of those weeks were my two week notice to my former employer which SAIA insisted that I do.

Work work work, all day long, work work work while I sing this song.

Its mind boggling how much work there is at my terminal. So far I'm enjoying the company. My TM is staying the course with what I initially perceived him to be, which is great. He is a results oriented guy that appears to leave people alone so long as they are getting the job done safely.

Wrote up the drive tires on my tractor last night for uneven wear, came in this morning and they were all replaced, no issues... peculiar that they were NOT retreads.

I don’t mind that in my own territory.

Where I have a problem is working that much later doing somebody else’s pickups in their territory because they decided to lay down all day.
