If I did that, where would I put the things that won't fit otherwise?
And the mattress is not the problem.
In the Cascadia I could put things under the bunk, in a separate space from the side boxes.
The ProStar has no such luxury. It extends the floor region a little bit under the bunk, but it is not usable in the same way. In any way, actually.
The ProStar has more actual storage space in the cab, but the Cascadia is laid out in a much smarter way.
Everything I do seems much harder to do in this truck.

*notes to self*
All the sudden im glad our division never bought internationals.
Ive only ever seen the inside of the old prostars. And that one still had a manual transmission at the time. Which I found the odd shaped stick interesting.
Either of yall been in the old ones, how does the new model compare to its predecessor?D.Tibbitt and Wasted Thyme Thank this. -
Not very clear in my head, but the lemon ProStar I had was something around a 2012 model.
They are very similar in most respects.
Auto now, with a combo I like less than the DD15/DT12. Maybe it is just the settings in the computer though.
With the exception of the new electronics nothing much has changed.FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
what I hate about the prostate I been in lately.. can't drop airbags. an annoying beeping sound when you put trans in manual mode from 8th gear and above. can't downshift or upshift either. can only shift from 7rh and below
FerrissWheel Thanks this. -
Tcalled the load here in jurupa terminal.
have tomorrow off.
off to dentist appt. yuk lopFerrissWheel Thanks this. -
It even beeps when I shift to reverse to back up, and when I tap the brake while on cruise control.
This thing is paranoid and beep happy.
And ya, can't drop the airbags either.
The cruise control likes to slow down 2 mph before a hill, causing a disadvantage.
And if I drop it a few mph when someone comes in too close to me I can't raise the speed until all cars in front of me are about 1/4 mile away. I've learned to take it out of cruise when I want to slow a bit; then I don't lose the setting.
I miss my Cascadia and DD15/DT12 combo.
But this ProStar does do well with heavy loads.
It is smoother and more balanced than the Cascadia. And it pulls very well when heavy.FerrissWheel and dptrucker Thank this. -
Yeah,,, unfortunately the new T680s we have dont have a bag dump either.
Much the same we cant bump up the cruise if someone is anywhere close to us.
But I will say its still even 100k later the smoothest engine Trans combo ive been in as far as autos go.
X15 and what is some sort of Eaton transmission but badged for Paccar... Still haven't figured out exactly what the deal is with that.
But single most annoying feature. Wont go into gear if either tank is below like 90PSIdptrucker Thanks this. -
Ways to make me beat someone with a cheater bar. Dropped this way.......
