Years ago, we wore heavy boots like that, because it helped keep the throttle to the floor all day. A certain R model Mack with a cheesy 300, comes to mind. Never liked heavy, clunky boots. You never know when you may have to ,,,,,RUN!!

Is it illegal for you or the 16 year old girl to be barefooted?. I swear they write these laws to be intentionally confusing.

No, I think he was saying you should go to your safe space and hug your therapy dog because you seem a tad oversensitive.

seriously, I believe CA is the only state that it is illegal to drive barefoot, and even here it has to be attributed to causing an accident.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

There could be a cramp occurring in a foot sole muscles making a driver unable to apply brake pedal. Or a stranded hornet on the floor could sting a driver's bare foot too. If driving like that floor better be clean.

Rideandrepair and MACK E-6 Thank this.

Between my current work at job sites and hauling fuel for a few years, I wouldn't dare drive my truck barefoot. I have to clean my dash off everyday just to read the gauges let alone what goes on down there. OTR I definitely did though. I kind of forgot I had clean jobs at some point.

I have been driving barefoot since 1989 and not one Dot officer has ever said a word about it. Not even CA. I don’t wear shoes in my truck they come off on top step. Don’t need MR scuzzy trucker germs in my carpet from walking across parking lot. Besides my Carpet is almost white as well as my seats.

    Rideandrepair and TallJoe Thank this.
