Ok, quick question. I had my own authority for about a year before suspending it after my first failure. Its hasnt been active since 2018 and has 1 inspection that resulted in an OOS for tires.
Anyways, there are only 2 insurer's in Florida, progressive and Berkshire. Progressive wont insure because of 100 percent OOS and I owe Berkshire 4k from the previous policy but they are willing to insure if I pay it to them (filed bankruptcy so really dont owe but they want it).
Sooo.... is it worth it to pay them and reactivate that authority under a new name or file for a new authority under the new name?

30 months, from original date, and OOS will be gone. Pretty close now.

@Rideandrepair thanks man. I thought it was something like that but kept watching and nothing. I will look again since it's been over 30 now.

Well, the inspection is gone, however it says out of service in giant red letters and the reason says new entrant revoked for refusal of audit which is funny because I suspended it prior to an audit being done.

My dad re activated his in 17 i think from being on the back burner since 08. Didn't have to go through the new audit or whatever. Clean inspection record tho
