I am on a 34......and bored......math is kinda fun......so here it goes : )
48 oz can of coffee at Walmart.......$8.00
Case of 40, 16.9 oz bottles of water.......$4.00
Claim of "up to" 380 8 oz cups per can of coffee equals 126 24 oz mugs of coffee. Let's call it 100. That is $.08 worth of coffee per 24 oz mug.
Water.........the expensive part if you use bottled water. $.14 per 24 oz mug.
Coffee filters.......too cheap to calculate
Brew your own 24 oz mug of coffee with bottled water.....$.22. with tap water $.08
Brew 2 qt thermos with bottled water.....$.55. with tap water.....$.20
If you drink coffee like I do, that is a significant savings annually.
Thank you for letting me be the math professor this afternoon! Lolnot4hire Thanks this. -
That and fuel economy and just how low can I go?
Oh, on topic, I had a single cup Keurig in the truck for a while... but I liked the occasional Starbucks too (pro-tip: nice roomy single occupant bathrooms, good for a towel bath, shave and change of clothes). I used to drink truck stop coffee, but swore off it.Dockbumper Thanks this. -
I'm currently living nomadic. But not trucking yet. Just picked up a percolator coffee pot. Ironically the hard thing is finding filters for a percolator. LOL
