Yes The bridge formula is federal and covers a maximum on all federally funded highways, but on state only funded highways the state's may have shorter rules or even lower allowed GVW.
You should check your rules in your latest atlas for the state's you are going to travel in with a less than standard length unit to insure you can gross out if you are traveling off the federal system.

 

Not sure of the wheel base for tactor or trailer length so thats the best I got till I find a tape.

Its only in state stuff and I don't worry much about the weight I was just getting a story earlier on why this one place would put the full 25 tons in the bucket

I sent my mileages in as soon as they sent me my renewal on 3/29, and turnaround with my invoice was about 3 weeks. Sent a cashiers check on 4/24 and they issued my registration on May 9th. Seems like everything completely fell apart shortly after. I really won't worry about it, just keep some type of record of when you mailed your check or made payment in your cab?
