I have a 2018 Kenworth t680, and the engine fan is acting unusual. It is staying on longer at times, even when the indicator light turns off. It acts normal sometimes, but then at times it has a hard time turning off. The truck does have some sort of air leak currently. What can the issue be? Where is the solenoid located? What should I check for?
Thanks!

Does it only stay on when the A/C is On? Could be a pressure switch.

What kind of air pressure problem are you having? The fans are designed to lock on when secondary air drops below 50psi.

You have probably inadvertently solved your own problem. Removing air from clutch engages fan. Conversely, applying air disengages it. Build truck air to 120 psi, turn truck off, count to 10, turn key on. Fan should disengage without any air leaking from clutch or air line going to it. If no leak, report back for further troubleshooting help.

Probably good thats it's staying on. It's been over 100 degrees outside.

I've been testing it today, and it has something to do with the ac. When I turn the ac off, it turns off in a bit. Something with the ac, causing it to stay on..

I just went through it with my 2014 t680
if you want a picture of the location I will upload one.Rideandrepair and KWP_15 Thank this.
