It's a good route with good roads. Some of the small towns have let their roads slip a little bit but overall a good ride. Every once in a while I will run TX-6 (Highway 6) northwest out of Waco and follow it all the way to Eastland to get on I-20. It's a good route to when heading west out if of the Waco area.

Sounds legit to me if it's in your contract. The company I'm leased to backs fuel out of every load (including brokered loads) before they take their cut, ensuring that the 100% of the fuel surcharge goes to the truck. I would assume yours is doing the same thing?

The way I read it, the one is his example was going 15mph. Not 15 over, but just old 15 lol. We've all been in the zones where you're only doing 25 and there's a flagger viciously motioning to slow down, but I have a feeling that wasn't the case in SIx's example

Yeah, I think the one Six mentioned was only going 15 mph.

Pretty stupid, not to mention dangerous, if this is on an interstate where the work zone limit was dropped to 55.

You'd have liked to run with us boys back in the day. Out across AZ & NM on the 40, just you and the straightaway highway. Crank that girl up blowing coal, speedo goes to 80, needles way past that though, making up lost time fiddle fartin around in Cali, cross the St. Louie gateway, fun times over boys back 'er down, lest OH MY HO get you doin 56 in the 55.

All kidding aside, there's way too much speeding goin on through construction zones. Try working out there with one eye on your work and one on the highway, kinda tough. Combine that with little to no common sense anymore, and yeah bad things happen. Years ago, I lost a friend of mine, Sgt with the County, traffic stop on the Interstate, rig from Quebec took him out and kept on going.
