It's a good route with good roads. Some of the small towns have let their roads slip a little bit but overall a good ride. Every once in a while I will run TX-6 (Highway 6) northwest out of Waco and follow it all the way to Eastland to get on I-20. It's a good route to when heading west out if of the Waco area.

All kidding aside, there's way too much speeding goin on through construction zones. Try working out there with one eye on your work and one on the highway, kinda tough. Combine that with little to no common sense anymore, and yeah bad things happen. Years ago, I lost a friend of mine, Sgt with the County, traffic stop on the Interstate, rig from Quebec took him out and kept on going.
