Can I leave dunnage (2 × 4's) nailed to the deck on an empty trailer or do I have to pull them off?
I haul so many #### reels, I was thinking it would be easier to just leave them on there.

If they're properly nailed I don't see any reason reason to pull them up. It's obvious they're not just laying there. I have done the same and never been hassled.

You could bolt them if you wanted to leave them and its your trailer

I was moving a lot of stuff like that so I made dunnage that had tabs that fit into the stake pockets. Just plop them in and away I go. I even drilled some holes to accept screws. Sped things WAY up.FerrissWheel, D.Tibbitt, Kyle G. and 2 others Thank this. -
I dont see the problem with it . Other than the occasional dirty look from a door slammer whos smart enough to see no securement but to dumb to realize they are nailed.
