Chris White, of the Coors fleet, has left the company. Today was his last day. Justin will be doing a weekend shift and then Monday begin training to replace him.
And they found another ECM update and have send the ECM off to Cummins to have to updated again. So we're sitting all weekend. -
Chicago and their tight *bleep**bleep**bleep**bleep**bleep* backs are sure a pain in the .........This is my 2nd time to this place and the 1st was at about 2 mos. Can tell I've learned alot since then cause this one went much easier. Am out of hrs so will have to do my 10 before hitting the road. Oh and I lied earlier, going to Vermont not Virginia.
One good thing about this is no having to mess with the weekend dispatch. WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! -
Now that is really cool. Like the bleeps they added for me. ROTFLMAO
-
Well im headed for NYC, i hope weekend dispatch can get me a load back out!!!

What kind of mileage are you CRS drivers averaging right now? I am accepted to attend training Oct 5th. and want to know what I can expect when I go solo. My bills require about $400 a week net. Am I being unreasonable in expecting to make that much during these bad economic times?
-
Its all up to your driver manager.. I averaged had about 10,500 for last month. It was a lot of small loads. I'm going to tell you stright up.. Its a game of chance. When I started out.. I usually made 200-600 dollars.. Its all up to that load planner and dm.
When ur out for ur month training.. You'll make about 200 a week after taxes and applicable fee's. So when u go solo. Hope for a good truck, a great fleet and ha ve a backbone.. Your here to feed your family.. If someone isn't doing what gets your family fed.. Make sure they know it and correct it. -
Good mornin' y'all,T-minus one week and counting till I head off to Fontana. Everything is organized at home. I gave my one week notice yesterday, that felt kinda odd. Its been several years since my last change of jobs. I'm all excited and studied out at this point.A quick congrats to bootlegger and jjoystealth for completing the truckin school. Any word on how mia and lex did last week?

Studying before you get there for the written test is something everyone should do.
It is not like people are deciding spur of the moment the day before to go to training.
If they really want to get into trucking and are serious, they should have studied before they get to training. The CDL regs are the same Nation wide. It is not different in different states.
Also the tests are very easy, mostly common sense. The only one I did not score a 97%+ on the first time was hazmat, which you do not need at Central.
I had every endorsement you could get when I got my license. I just let them go slowly over the years.
I would even recommend for everyone to get there permit before leaving home. That way they have already taken and passed the tests. That is one less stress. -
2 weeks to go for me, I gave my notice yesterday =)
