I haven't spoke to a power only recruiter yet. I'm a former L/O with Prime, decided to try the local thing "hate it" . Going back to Prime, I live in Cali leasing is no longer an option I have to get my authority to lease back on to Prime. So, I was trying to get the skinny on the Power side of Prime before speaking to a recruiter....

I think you have to have your own authority, and pull Prime trailers, you can use Prime's fuel card, and other benefits, they will offer you loads as a broker - owner operator relationship. Look at Prime's website for more details.

It works like that, They don’t give a s...t about anything anymore. No students, no DOT, no salary pay, no nothing. Only load distribution. BUT they will care about one thing only and this is the sweetest, RIP you off on any load they want to. Math time, if you as lease driver was making 72%(as they say), 78% is just 6% higher. If as lease operator they paid you 1100$ per week after taxes( check Prime website), so Power only will be only 66$ more, thus roughly 1200 dollars per week with your DOT number, with your authority, your headaches. Is it good???
What a pathetic company, who works there?

I have no idea if prime is skimming anything off the top like sni,but the last load I called on from them paid $2700 on 900 miles. So depending on what the percentage is, then it would be over $2k
