Seems like the diesel APU works better. Somethings better than nothing I guess.

Diesel do put out a lot more cold air but seem to coast a more to run. The battery ones are pretty good for 10 hour breaks. Diesel one are good in the more extreme heat and day time sun. I had both the Thermo King APU was nice but had lot of repairs. I drove an international with that battery APU it was only OK it need some repairs. I'm driving a Freightliner with their electric one. It work good. Truck has 8 batteries. It only cools the sleeper really but it keeps it cool as long you close the curtains. But it only run about 6 hours. Then the engine will start to recharge the batteries. To park for 10 hour break the truck only idle 2 hours. That how long it runs to recharge the batteries after 6 hours.

Diesel is much better. Especially for really hot areas like the Southwest and communist state.
