No it won't go on there. I fought a ticket like that from a THP. He was dead wrong. The ticket was dismissed and never appeared on my record. Unless you are talking about the OP.

I ran into the same on the railroad, where 1-2 mph over the speed (which is not posted unless it's a restriction) means time at home, yet roadway workers still got hurt and killed. And of course we heard solemn stuff about being careful, mostly from people who couldn't do our jobs and ended up being in management if they wanted to be employed at all.

When I went to my first annual rules class as a locomotive engineer, the instructor said "Remember, you guys are the elite out here, the example." I thought it was a bit over the top, but it turned out that he was sorta right.

Then I ended up being an Employee In Charge (EIC) on rail construction projects, which means I was safety lead and also communicated with trains to keep them back if we were doing something hazardous like holding a bridge beam in the air over the tracks.

I also cleared workers so trains could go through, which was the problem. The trains would stop when told and confirm they were stopped, like pros do. The roadway workers were like unherdable cats that would just stand in the middle of the track even when they didn't need to.

Many of these workers, to my amazement, didn't care about their own well-being, despite getting a morning briefing every day explaining what and why and how we were going to work. Just gittin er done because somebody yelled at somebody who yelled at somebody about gettin er done. They were scared of the chain of command and angry at me for getting in the way.

Some would purposely run out on the tracks to spite me after I'd cleared everyone for a train. None of their managers would do anything about it, they were just as stupid.

I still have the engineer mentality of never wanting to hurt anyone, but now I also know that there are suicidally-stupid construction workers out there (not all of them, lotsa good ones), that they are not the elite or the example on any given project, they are expendable even to themselves.

It's actually yet another reason to slow down. And a reason I resent morons tailgating me through work zones, because I might have to get the brakes hot, and suddenly. I also resent lazy and cheap construction companies not clearing their signs when done, it lessens respect for active zones.

Sorry you had bad luck with the enforcement lottery, UTG, I'd hire you in a heartbeat.

    This, a 100 times this.

For two years there was a single 45 mph work zone sign on I80 just east of the IL border left over from when IN rebuilt the road. Everyone got conditioned to ignore it, until one day they came out to rebuild the rebuild. Brake smoke for days.

I've always wondered... when you walk on water, do your feet get wet, or not?

If the tick was dismissed it won’t show up on your PSP. But a warning will. And yes I was talking about the OP. Which by the way please explain what “OP” means on forum boards. If you don’t mind

Only way the warning will show up on psp is if there was an inspection by the officer.
