there's a reason they put stacks on trucks.

    drivers died.

now, they figure nobody idles so they go back to grass burners.

Fine on a day cab or if you have an APU / bunk heater. No good if you idle. Can you put one of those bunk heaters (Webasto?) versions on it that also heat the block? If that works (-40 is just stupid cold, way below my "I give up" level of cold....).

Yeah I always run Espar or Webasto engine and bunk heaters but below -30 they don't work, I'm looking into a Proheat that will run constantly cause you can start it once you stop when the fuels warm, I think it's the tiny fuel lines gelling up when it's sat all night then tries to fire up a hour before you wake up.

Weed burner exhaust was /is nothing more than a cost cutting device. It saves in engineering, hardware with little concern for public or driver. Up pipes have a specific purpose, get the fumes up and away. When trucks emitted clouds of smoke, it was necessary and obvious. Today, it seems, they've managed to eliminate the black clouds, and can cut cost by just having a weed burner, but diesels still emit toxic fumes, and that's another thing if we had a spokesperson, what about the safety of the driver? We should ask Papa Joe what he thinks of weed burner exhaust. I'd try and put an up pipe on it, although, just make sure it's kosher to do so. You never know, the truck may not start because you messed with the exhaust,,,oops, there's the "Papa Joe" in me,,

    Unpossible.

We have DPF to catch all the smoke, and DEF to do away with the smell. All is now well in the world of unicorns, rainbows, and My Little Pony.

I would take the smell of a old diesel over the smell of a urea truck, the urea smell coming out of the exhaust in my diesel pickup was almost enough to make me sick.
