379 sleeper blower

Check the switch and wires up to the motor. If look good than the motor would be next step. Sometimes tapping on the motor may get it rolling again for awhile till it gets hot again. Then you will know for sure it is motor.
Did you smell anything burnt when it stopped or did it work and you shut it off like normal and then it wouldn’t come back on later when needed?

 

In 15 years I’ve had to replace the motors 3 or 4 times. They run as long as the big engine is running so they work pretty hard down here. I think they were around $40 each time but it’s been 5 years since I retired that truck.
I’d bet that the motor just got tired and you have no other problem with it. They most of the time will just quit without blowing a fuse or harming the switch or wires.

 

Yep, motors shot. Super Trucker Outlaws don’t need air in the bunk, cuz they never sleep. Change it, worst thing that can happen, is you’ll have an extra, when it does go bad. It could be the switch. My Shaker burns through them often. Even melts the plug. Might want to visually inspect that, but probably just a bad motor. It’s probably been running slow for a while, just didn’t notice. Same reason my switches burn up, tired blower motor.

 

And a fine Lady I’m sure. It’s an easy fix. Prices for mine have gone over $100 at dealer. But I saw one on line a lot cheaper. Good Luck. Probably need a small torx head to change it.

 

Don’t toss it till you have the new one in your hands. You may have to reuse the old squirrel cage.
