I guess he didn’t know his own own strength “when the fire fell of his cigar and rolled around and around and got caught in the cuff of his pants”

A trucker buddy of mine lent me his 6 inch extension to try in the trucks I drive.
I tried it for a week in the ford. My shoulder hated it.
The shifter is too far back for my arm to handle.
If I tried it in the 359 Pete we have, it would likely be more comfortable in that truck as the shifter is further forward from the driver.
I asked some of my trucker friends with tall shifter why they have it.
More Comfortable they said. Looks cool too.D.Tibbitt Thanks this. -

Newark container haulers, 80 mph coming acrosst 84 in CT with a moose bar and 10 ultra bright lights, every morning of the week.Dave1837 Thanks this. -
Usually they're a rolling roadblock on 78.
There's one in particular I see often. He's got the obnoxious LED headlights, fog lights, driving lights, a light bar. And then above the sun visor he has four or five KC lights. And yes, I've seen him/her running with all of them lit, driving down the highway on a clear nightBrettj3876, nitetride379x and Ruthless Thank this. -
Just stupid.
I have macular degeneration and have to get injections in my eyes every month to treat it and I don't need that many lights on. -
randomname and Tug Toy Thank this.
