I recently purchased a Peterbilt 382 single axle truck. I drive over some of the worst roads in Los Angeles. I tow a very lightweight trailer. Are there any alternative leaf spring options to help soften the ride? It is bad enough that when I am on a bad road the doors pop open. Any help is appreciated.

Go to a truck junkyard, find a suitable drive axle with air ride suspension on it and swap it into the truck.

I have a somewhat similar different brand truck. It also normally hauls light. It has an aftermarket air leaf put on the factory axle which had springs. Not sure where to tell you to look as I bought it that way. It also has an air ride cab conversion.
