    Walking that line myself.

Have a bunch of stuff to do around the house/property. Challenge to get it done if stuck in a truck.

Regular boss is a reservist and got called up for the covid stuff. Temp boss does not get that I lack motivation to run 6 days a week and would prefer only 4.

I always wonder if they get a cut of the money being made. Some dispatchers have been jerks about home time and such.

What are the chances of running into one another? Should have at least shared a cup of coffee. Once a a Flying J, in Beloit, I was standing inside reading a magazine at the rack. Must of been about 2:00 am. I felt someone breathing down my neck. I slowly turned, and it was my Dad!!! He had a twisted sense of humor. We got up early, I ran the long way home, via his delivery in Grand Rapids. He drove my new Truck, I drove his. Great memory, worthy of a Red Sovine song. Another time, ran into him in Indianapolis. His Trainee spotted Me, based on his description. Yep might just be your son, white WS, and he’s in a big hurry. Lol. Ended up visiting for 30 minutes, skipping my shower, before getting loaded. Again what are the chances? This was before cell phones.

In this case the operate each customer as a business unit. If the business unit is not profitable it is time to look closely at the account manager.

Pretty confident his reviews and compensation are based on how profitable the unit is.

Current boss is questioning why we have 14 trucks assigned and 11 drivers. I had to tell him we should be at 12 drivers and with the truck reliability 1 extra truck. Then found out one of the trucks has been at the repair shop for 2 months and shop couldn't figure out why. I looked at it and the bumper was zip tied on after a deer strike.

I gave a female native indian a ride this morning. She told me one heck of a good joke.

    Why dont indians like snow?
Because it is white and on their land!

In my experience it happens more often. I’ve got a really good friend whose a driver. We talk a lot. One even we’re BSing and I say where are you? He says Grand Junction. I thought he saw me on social media and was ####ing with me. I asked again and he says GJ at the Loves. I’m like ########, blow your air horn three times.

    Waaaaah!

We laughed. It was like 8pm, and I was across the street at the pilot. It took us about 35-45 minutes to agree to get out of our trucks and meet for dinner. LOL.

It’s happened with Dave and with driver #2 as well.

My theory is it’s just the law of averages. We drive so much were bound to cross paths. That’s 3 random meetings in 2 years.

I hope they don’t stop happening. I like meeting people I like at a TS. It normalizes life a bit and feel nice.
