I have driven a 10 speed before and the one
I drove was set up for up shifts to a higher gear at 1500 rpms and at 1000 rpms drop a gear. From watching a YouTube video it said
up shift at 1300 downshift at 1000. I will be taking a test on a 10 speed soon and just trying to get a good idea about where the rpms should be as every truck is setup differently.

It would be good to drive the 10 speed you are testing in at least once before the test. There are many variables in ten speeds and other components.
I worked on a driving school truck at one time. It had red dots and blue dots marked around the speedometer face. Had to ask. One was when to unshift and the other was when to downshift. That is cheating to me. Should be able to shift be the seat of your pants. Some like to shift at a different RPM on the highest gear in each range as it is overdrive. That throughs your shifting RPM for every gear out the window.
    Good luck on your test.
