That 1-5 over speeding could have been written when you get an inspection. Wouldn't go on an MVR and doesn't even count for any CSA points to your company. As was said previously, CRE may have did you a favor but it's going to be on you to shape up when you get another job. Take your time on your pre trips and get it right.

You could have gotten that crack right before you got yanked into a weigh station for all anyone knows. If my windshield cracks I don't just stop driving. I do get it fixed at my earliest opportunity, but I don't just stop.

I would keep applying for jobs and if they ask just explain to them what happened.

Do keep up on your equipment though. If your windshield cracks, write it up. If you hear an air leak at your tandems, write that up. Don't put it off. It costs you nothing to do so as a company driver and that's why your company has mechanic staff. Look at your equipment every day make sure all the lights are working, check your tires and air lines, etc. It doesn't take long once you get the hang of doing it.

I understand Freightliners going into mechanic shops frequently. I was fortunate my issue was with the AC and not a DOT thing. But that happened this year, even when I was in southern AZ. That SUCKED.

You sound very young (mid 20's or so..). Most of us were there once. However, tickets can never be good on your cdl especially as a O/O. All you can do is try to keep your driving record as clean as possible for the next few years. After 25 years of driving Commercially with my cdl tickets and accidents are always something we all need to avoid. It's a difficult challenge as a driver now a days on the highways but this is why we are all considered Professional drivers.

Great SMS scores means they're probably doing the right things with the right people. It also means their insurance company might let them hire and teach you. No megas here, probably less mega crap too.

Gulick Trucking, Vancouver WA, 200 trucks, great SMS scores. Gulick Trucking, Inc. | Transportation Specialists Since 1973

Becker Trucking, Seattle, 55 trucks, great SMS scores. About Us – Becker Trucking Inc.

Oak Harbor Freight Lines, Washington, 764 trucks, 27 terminals, great SMS scores.

Can’t believe I was so lucky or maybe my companies score was so excellent and my truck and trailer soo clean, but I never got an inspection in 15 months.

In fact I think I only got scaled 8-10 times of rolling through them daily for those 15 months

I got an inspection in 2018 for an out of date fire extinguisher. Guy walked around the truck shining a light, looking for things and hes like welp looks like your fire extinguisher is out of date, gonna have to write you up for that. lol

Your MVR is clean so you're good to go with many companies.
CR England probably loaded your DAC report though. Companies will see the DAC report, so get familiar with what's on there. Even companies that don't use DAC may be insured with insurance companies that do.
Get a copy of it at www.hireright.com so you can be prepared to explain it.
