Hey everyone, any ideas on how I'm supposed to grease this thing? Lots of rattling when idling in neutral or lower rpms under a load. Can't find a grease fitting anywhere. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

It is supposed to have a remote gease line. There should be a rubber grommet it the inspection cover. Combination of brass fittings to attach the line. 1/8" pipe port on the bearing will be on the top or side of the of the bearing.

Doable without tearing apart , but not fun.

Biggest question, is the fitting broke off?

Not sure about the inspection cover, my truck came with it missing. However, I did miraculously come across a video on Youtube on replacing the clutch brake and it had the same style fork as mine and the line was dangling from the top right portion. Here's a photo on where it should be, I'm going out in a few minutes to see if the fitting is there or missing. Thanks!

Nope not where your circle is.

Its gonna be above that on the top side. Gonna need an inspection camera or a mirror to see it. The remote line usually mounts on a bracket LF framerail.

If you can get a fitting in it you might be able to just put a whip hose on it.

Sometimes there’s still an additional grease fitting installed on the very top of the throwout bearing even though you have a remote line, you have to reach way up there and feel around for it.
Right above and inward of your circle is usually where the 1/8” pipe threads in, sometimes there’s a 2” nipple to extend it out past that cast nub (where your circle is) with a 90° elbow to exit the inspection cover, other times the hose will exit out the driver side of the housing

Grease fittings are in the bellhousing, passenger side about 4 o'clock.

Thank you all for the responses. The fitting ended up being in the top, and I did have to use an inspection mirror with flashlight to find it up there. Was able to fish my grease fitting up to it and line it a bit. On the side of the bell housing is just a rubber grommet.
Anyhow, greasing it up didn't seem to make much of a difference, it may be worn and need replacing. With 570k on it now, been thinking of replacing the clutch while in there anyway so I think I'll wait another month or two and get all that knocked out in one go.

I'd add a remote line to the new one to make life easier.

Yes remote lines make things way easier... I grew up having to reach my arm way up inthere to grease the #### things... The first time I saw one with a remote line I had a face in palm moment... "Why the hell didnt I think of that years ago!"

Every truck I've ever seen came with it from factory believe it or not.
