I have a new job in Kentucky and I want to keep my CDL + all my endorsements. I have a recent background re-up from TSA, but do I need to retest all my other endorsements? I was told HazMat will retest.

You will need to have your background check forwarded to Kentucky before you apply-switch I’m not sure about testing when switching states.
-
You will have to re-test your Hazmat and get re fingerprinted. I switched from TN to VA in 2015 and I had to get re fingerprinted and I had to re-test.Criminey Jade Thanks this.

Thanks. I was kinda hoping to save some money, but I guess Kentucky has to make theirs.Getsinyourblood Thanks this.

Hey, CJ, where you been? I've been in Colorado almost 3 years and haven't seen you. Adios to Colorado, eh? I take it it's adios to trucking too. Don't blame you, I'm about ready to head back to the UP of Mich. Have fun in Kentucky. I've always met great people in Kentucky, unlike the spoiled snobs here. Good luck.

Over the years, I transferred CDL from Ohio to Utah then Kentucky (in 2017). Utah required me to redo the written tests. Kentucky did not. I only had to prove residency and re-self-certify my medical. I cannot comment on Hazmat as I do not have one.

I'm still in transportation. I would've stayed in Colorado, but we got the layoff bug through our office. I was given 8 weeks and was out in 3.
I hope Michigan treats you well. -
FYI, if you have school bus, Kentucky wants your DOT physical to be annual. As opposed to two years.

Still driving?

We will miss you out west.
