Eagle/Celadon/Quality/9th Captial/Hilco---Is there any truck drivers out there that worked as L/O that was in a walk away lease that is being harassed by Hilco receivables? We are starting a class action as they bought up the assets of Quality.9th Capital. We have a few drivers already. Of course Celadon and Quality advertised zero down walk away lease at anytime, so this was a bait and switch situation. Now, drivers are being harassed by Hilco. If you are a driver that leased onto Celadon/Eagle and had a quality truck please let me know. We have several drivers that are being harassedColoradoLinehaul, RidgeRunner731 and Bumper Thank this.

The best way to avoid getting scammed is don't fall for it to begin with. If your want to be an owner operator, prove to yourself that you're able to manage the money that you have right now by saving it for a nice down payment.

You’re correct! Don’t fall for that trap to begin with. I had known lots of negatives about driving for FedEx ground but the pay was good then in 2014 as a fresh 1 month driver I made $0.55/mile and after 6 months pay went up to 58 cents and when left by the end of 2016 I was making $0.66/mile. Don’t be too easy to settle driving for cheap companies that pay 20 some cents or even 30 some cents because you deserve a lot more than that. And with that low pay you won’t be able to save anything. If you put a down payment for a tractor and trailer and can find a bank to loan you the rest, the truck/trailer will be yours and when you pay them off, your name will be on the tittles.
