Hi,
What’s the best way to take ramps and curves? For curves if need be I slow down before I enter the curve and if I’m well under the speed limit I accelerate coming out of it; off ramps seem to be a bit of a problem for me because I don’t think I have the right plan of attack; I’m nervous about slowing down too much on the interstate for fear of someone running into my arse end, so instead I used to start slowing down just before and continue to as I’m exiting but I now see this was dangerous because going from 65 mph to let’s say 30mph isn’t an easy task when you’re about to run out of real estate; now I like to signal under half a mile if possible my intention of exiting, start winding down sooner and then take the exit. How do you like to overcome these obstacles?
Best regards, John

I use the turn signal when entering the interstate and then if I'm too slow after merging into traffic, I'll put on the emergency flashers until I'm up to minimum interstate speed.

I-83 in PA can be dicey for this sort of thing. You just have to do what you have to do. Just signal your exit way early and slow down as needed.
That’s one of those situation where you can’t really go by the book.Brettj3876, Tb0n3, Gutter and 7 others Thank this. -

I usually took the ramp speed limit as a rule for cars and would go slower, sometimes A LOT slower.
tanker even slower.
you can always take corners too slow, too fast just once.SoloSteveSelect, truckguy391, mitrucker and 4 others Thank this. -
You're big. 4wheelers are small. People can see you from a good distance. Slow gradually and not rapidly. While signaling your intent. Should not have a problem.
