    I know this is an old thread but I have the same issue when I set the brakes on my truck. I pull the yellow knob and it will dump air out of the port and brakes won't set until its done doing what its doing. What ended up being the problem?

    That honestly sounds completely normal. Air holds the park brakes released. When you pull the yellow knob you're exhausting the air. Only when the air is dumped will the park brakes set. Should take about 2 seconds or so.

    Unfortunately its not at the normal 2 seconds. If I don't sit there and hold the brakes my truck will roll away. It exhausts all the air out of the port on the firewall. Sometimes it works right but not often. I was bobtailing the other day and when I went to set the brakes air came out the firewall port and the supply line glad hand until brakes engaged.
