Definitely have to look into that again then. Do some turns and turn in for the week. Apart from scrubbing down the inside of a slip-seat cab more often in these times, it all sounds doable. Only thing I'm really having to prep for right now is finding a place before I move out there and continuing to dump as much excess junk/decluttering as possible before a move.

Not everyone seems to be that bad in Texas about things like the current scenario in the world. But the vocal minority is using this time as theirs to shine.

I do appreciate having my own dedicated cab right now, along with not having a camera, governor, uniform, or hard schedule.

Pilot Thomas was looking for tanker drivers to the mines in Elko, but it is slip-seat and their HR got angry when I asked tough questions like how they pay and what hours they run. And then claimed they couldn't unsubscribe me from the job opening alerts I hadn't subscribed to. Kinda place that has turnover before they even hire anyone.

Added a link in my previous comment that reflects how Coloradans see Texans; it's much the same here, all the clueless jerks I encounter are from either Texas or California.

When the HR gets all flamed out like that, it's probably best to keep poking around.

Got to love those subforums. The minute you mention Texas in a negative light somewhere in there, there's one bound to find and try to rip you to shreds. I was posting in the Malaysia section and a Texan expat living there was the first to start ripping on me about his former home state. "If it was so great, then why did you relocate to Penang!?!?"

That said, I've been running the milk tankers and living down here on the NM side of the TX line for the past eight years. Haven't made a whole lot of friends out this way for a multitude of reasons. Tried hanging out with pushy people at work that tried to get me out, but I kind of bailed on them after the first get-together. It's probably a mixture of my introversion and their views on particular things.

That ain't no lie. I can't figure out why it pressures up if you load from the bottom instead of the top, or why the pressure goes down if you shake the load.

Propane cycles between liquid and vapor so nicely that it's used as refrigerant in car ac systems in some places. Supposed to work better than R12. And of course cheap if a bit flammable.

Loading through a spray fill can cool it down by spraying it on the upper tank surface which will put it in liquid state from contacting the cool metal, but if the tank metal is hot it'll pressure up because it goes to vapor on contact with that hot metal.

Shaking it can cause it to cool because of increased contact with the metal tank (like rolling a beer in ice), which would turn it to liquid and lower tank pressure.

I still feel like it's voodoo, every load has some unforeseen twist. Never know what's really left without a scale.

I was told that the spray bar sprays downward, but it sounds like you're saying that it sprays upward. Am I understanding you correctly?

New refrigeration units for household are all sealed isobutane refrigerant. From what I was told. No ozone depletion problem, but different service protocols(sealed units). Efficiency another plus.

I've not heard of anyone using propane in any application for refrigerant, doesn't mean it's not possible. The fire hazard during an accident makes use of isobutane for mobile units not likely.

I don't know. I've been told that spray bars run along the top of the tank, and that a combo spray fill/vapor is a straight-up pipe that ends close to the top of the tank.

Next time I'm around one of the knowledgeable guys I'll ask and get back.

Was told today that spray bars point down, combo spray fill/vapor is a tube that points up. Good source.
