I'd go the bass boat too ( with no bait on the hook), but if you must, I'd think with all the home deliveries, an LTL gig would be a hit. Maybe some freight house overload, stuff they can't cover. Be advised, it's been a while, but LTL is a PITA, and I doubt it changed much. I wouldn't do it unless it was by the hour. The whole truck thing at your age isn't the best idea anyway, especially these days. Lots of places need a driver, no benefits. I did a 7 week deal for a cranberry farm shuttling trailers. I turned down 2 temp. heavy equipment jobs in my little town, so stuff is out there. Good luck, and let us know if you change your mind about the bass boat,,

How about mail? Local Company here near Detroit, is always looking for part time. Goofy hrs. 4-6 per day. 6 days a week. $26+ hr. $21 on check + $5+ into 401k. Something like that, anyways. CDL A & B jobs usually available. Must be a pita, because they’re always advertising. I’d do it if it were 48 hrs in 4 days. OT after 8, I’d gladly work more hrs.

There’s also some Jobs, that are Local, technically LTL, but not typical Freight Peddling. Doing 2- 4 deliveries and 2-4 p/u’s. Pays a little bit less, but so worth avoiding the hustle of LTL. All depends on whether you have to handle/ tailgate freight. Last LTL, I did, never touched the freight.

Mail is another, if you can handle the hours, and there's a guy always looking for someone to drive his mail truck here p/t, except, it goes over Monarch Pass, and have to hang iron on every trip from Nov. to May. No thanks.

Sorry, my question above. Willing to buy or lease a 24 box truck if I can make some money.

you would not work for Amazon, it would be one of their contractors. Could be runs to different post offices or it could be house deliveries. Either way Amazon work usually does not pay well !
