Anyone can pm me for details -
I can't PM you because I'm too much of a youngster around here with not enough posts. I have my truck, but have a friend that I think could benefit from these guys.
Hope it was OK to post my email addy......Last edited: Sep 16, 2009

Thanks for the info MedicineMan. I do know about these folks, have driven by their place many times. I think my friend has already spoken with them, I know he leased from them years ago but had to turn the truck back in or his wife was going to divorce him. If anything comes of it, I'll be sure to let you know.

my friend dont listen to all the hype, there is a good chance that you can find that truck, with the econamy the way it is truck prices have went down dramaticly. i just bought a 379 pete with good tires cat engine and an 18 speed tranny 270 inch wheel base and it even runs great. it a buyers market right now if you look close im sure you can find the truck for you.-----southernpride

Yep there is a lot of them out there. I have been keeping my eye out for an old truck to buy and restore just have not found the right one yet but there are definitely some steals out there right now.

LMFAO!! First of all, I really hope you're joking! If there was "Sea Tow" for big trucks I might feel comfortable driving a $5,000 truck, but there's not! Just make sure whatever you buy is reliable enough you can keep the boss happy. One break down could easily cost you much more than you truck. This sounds like a very dangerous operation to me. Watch you step! I'm sure you can find a truck that will go down the road, I'm just not sure how far!

Well gang, I have found several trucks in this price range that I was told were road ready... But after lot's of thinking I have decided to not go this route. Most of these trucks in that price range were at, past, or close to 1,000,000 miles, and no records of any major engine repair. My luck, the motor would go the first trip, and I would have to go cook burgers in whatever town I broke down in.

So, with that said, I now have focused my attention to finding a trailer for - $5000!??! I have found several dry vans from $2,000 tp $5,000 that are in good to great shape. I think I would have a good chance getting a loan for a newer truck with a warranty with the bank knowing I already have a trailer. Is this nuts? I have a place to park the trailer until I get a truck. The biggest questions I have about this approach are...
1. How do I go about hiring someone to deliver the trailer to me from where I buy it. Lets say I win one on an auction site in WI. I need it delivered to Montana. How do I go about doing that?
2. Old logos, do I need to have them painted over before the trailer can be delivered?
3. Getting all my necessary permits tags, authority, insurance etc. Do I do this before I get a truck? I'm assuming so, because a lender would probably want me to have it in order to get a loan for a truck.
