Was born in St. Pete, raised mostly in Homosassa Springs. Still have family there, and lots of family spread out along the gulf coast from Clearwater to Carabelle.

Come from a long line of fishermen. My uncles were the last generation for it. The family fished the gulf until the dang yankees came in and started ruining everything in the 80's.

 

I bet. The F550 I used to run scaled at about 800 lbs under the GVW. Not much room for a sled there.

I just popped into a quality inn, in Duncan, SC. One night in Ol Buck, 2 nights motel.. lol Leave outta here Monday AM, 4miles to drop off this pos used genset..

Huh, I knew you were originally from FL but dang, I didn't realize so close. My sister lived in St. Pete for about the last 10yrs, & just bought 15 acres in Floral city, not far from Homosassa. That's a great area. Pretty small & undeveloped still. If I move & stay in FL, it will definitely be up that way..

That sucks the fishing got screwed. What them d amn yanks do, over fish, or run the rates into the ground.? Its been a time as I don't much associate with many of my old friends, (for legal reasons ) did you know anyone who ran out of Cortez.? (cortez fishing village) I know a few guys from over there. Some of them were fish'n for floating bails, shall we say.. Actually I worked for a little crap commercial dive outfit from Cortez for a months.. lol

What even more hilarious, well to me anyway, is I've been calling Ohio the FL of the North for like 20yrs!!

Anytime I'd meet some new nutbag that seemed all FL'd out already, they'd say, "I just moved here from Ohio!!" Or some spring break girls ho'n around on the beaches. Always their answer in that dumb valley girl voice, "we're here from OhHiiiiiiiO"!!! roflao
