120 is prediabetes 120 to 125 you are good for a two year card.
Fwiw. I always get a blood test done prior to my physical because urine test strips can be unreliable at times.

If you have not been diagnosed as diabetic, fast before your physical and you should be good for a 2 yr card.
As an aside, you can buy A1C testers so you can test yourself.

Sorry for sounding a bit defensive and rude, but it seems whenever I have this conversation it always gets side tracked. People usually want to find an opening to somehow demonize me just because I enjoy comfort foods. I don't think wanting some biscuits and gravy every so often should be considered an offensive crime for a diabetic. I've generally been pretty good about maintaining my diet all throughout most of the 2 year term between medical cards. I just simply forgot what the "pass" and "fail" marker was.

I suggest eating 2 spoons of honey at night, and eat a slice of fresh garlic in the morning. Old school medicine never fails.

it will stabilize your blood sugar so it won’t be high and it won’t be low. People can still function at blood sugar over 300 believe it or not, but low blood sugar is the problem because that’s when people faint in the middle of the road.

We do get sidetracked because your Blood Sugar is 120, not 520. You'll be fine, just leave little debbie alone.

And here come the home remedies. Blood sugar, like BP is a funny deal. 2 checkups ago, they told me, in an alarming voice, your blood sugar is PRE-DIABETIC LEVELS( alarm in background wailing). My mom had diabetes, so naturally I was concerned. On my last checkup, without any change in lifestyle, I was very nervous. Tests come back ( holding breath) , everything normal,,,WHAT? What happened to pre-diabetic levels? While I'm grateful for the medical advances, it's business, like any other, and I think they're crooked as hell, and want/need your money/illness to carry on their swanky doctor lifestyles. Last visit, covered by Medicaid, luckily, was $160 dollars for 15 minutes, and he didn't do anything. I know life is precious, but $600/hr? No wonder this country is in such rough shape.
And another thing, they can throw dirt on me before I give up my "Swiss Rolls",,,mmm, I think I'll have one right now,,,

It's funny because "pre-diabetic" levels keep changing. I remember back in the 90's "pre diabetic" didn't even exist. You either were a diabetic or you weren't. And of course even when you stay away from the blood sugar, when I'm fasting for example, my blood sugar can creep up to 130. Because they told me now when my pancreas is suffering my LIVER can actually kick in and produce it that way. ###### if you do, ###### if you don't. My philosophy is just do your best. Whenever I have a "weak moment"( as I have come to describe them) I make sure I'll limit it. Instead of one whole biscuit I'll just have a half. Life is too short to become so stickler that you haven't had a single carb in over 20 years. You gotta enjoy yourself every so often.

I have a working theory. I can't really get that heavy because my body's frame just won't support it. Everybody has that certain limitation. I have been a type 2 diabetic for 4 years now. I have beaten my blood sugar twice over the course of those 4 years already. What I mean by "beaten" is that my fasting blood sugar stays at 81 and I can get a two year card. I managed to do that because I stayed underneath my body's 250 lb limitation that mother nature has set in place for me. This recent spike is a result of me fattening myself up again and neglecting my diet for a longer period of time than I was suppose to.

On a side note I really wish these truck stops would serve more avocado and asparagus.
