The wire size isn't the problem you have to have a little over an inch and a half behind the power connector, I think the connector is 3/4 big behind the rear panel. Locking the power poles in place can be done with simple sheet metal or plastic. I don't have a Stryker here, so I can't pull one apart and show you but I know it has been done. You don't need 30 amp connectors, the small 15 amp ones will work well.

Its 10 or 8ga direct to battery with andersons and fueable link(dont want the glass tube fuse but that fixable)rite to battery..
Not a fan of wallcotts work but i had them do it to my 955..I have a .3 voltage drop at full power when keyed up..Im assumeing thats from soldering job on connect points..

Heavy Duty Fused Battery Cable Power Cord Kit for High Output 10 Meter Radios

That idea....Direct from radio to battery..Didnt and still dont like those glass tube type so i need a good spade type fuseable link or that power pole type idea..
Lol just dont need the 100 amp ones many places offfer..1/2 that is still over kill for a barefoot 955..25-30 amp is just a tiny bit over kill..

hey man I’m waiting on my Stryker 955 from our friend mark and just learning how to do all the necessary work to set it up. Your YouTube has been a great help! I have no technical/diy skills but I’m learning; can you share a step by step of how to do the power wires. I’m getting lost on the terminology

Yes sir! When I was on the phone with mark he said I would have to do all the tech work myself. Installations and everything. my radio won’t be here for a while yet but I figured I’d learned how to do it in the mean time. My 2014 Cascadia has stock power and coax for a cb but he said I’d have to route my own from battery

I’d like to copy your setup because you’ve done everything yourself and are a very helpful guy
