what you avg with your B kitty. Mid 6s?
don't think I've heard you mention what your avg is. Both of you cats are in hill country all the time like me.
Then you got the crowd that doesn't know #### saying old trucks are lucky to do 5.5
The 93 the last 2 years has been 7.2 just recently got 7.8 running a mix of light and heavy. And 99 with 4.42 running. 1650-1700 gets 6.3 6.5 no matter the weight LOL -
I've tried telling them to give me an APU or adjust my settings to allow the optimized idle feature to be used... Still no.

Ive got an x15 cummins 450 horse 3.25 rear with a 13 spd . Have an apu so i dont idle other than warm up and cool down . Lifetime average for this truck is 6.7 . Ive been getting 6.7 mpg round trip, last 2.5 months running out here in montana . But only half the trip is loaded. Deadhead back to the quarry empty. Probably closer to 5.5 or 6 if i was running loaded all the time.Speed_Drums and Brettj3876 Thank this.

You are doing just fine. My fleet mpg average right now is 7.34 as of the last 30 days. The top driver is at 7.64. We have bunk heater but not bunk APU AC.
so, your a tad below my fleet average but we also don’t sit much. Put your 2 yrs in and move to a smaller company.
Our moving mpg fleet average is 8.05 so you can see what idling does to it. -
11R or 295/22.5? What your cruising rpm at 65 like 1300 or so?
A good chunk of our miles are empty DH. On avg 2-3 days a week we'd be loaded both ways. More like only 2 days -
295/22.5 on flatland im in 13th gear at about 1350 . I usually dont ever run 13th gear unless im empty or going downhill since the smallest little hill and ive got to drop to 12th, and there is not much flatland out west here. Usually run it in 12th gear at 70 about 1650650cat425 Thanks this.

Where are you located? I bet @Chinatown can give you some leads.

I have a 12 volt fan. It moves a lot of air. It really helps me keep cool at night
I used it in Phoenix one night at 102 degrees, never started the truck to run a/c.
It was almost unbearable at those temperatures, but I suffered through the night and slept not too bad.
So if the temps are in the low nineties or lower it would probably do the trick.
RoadPro RP8000 10 12 Volt or Battery Power Portable Fan - 12Volt-Travel®D.Tibbitt Thanks this.
