I'm trying to remove a dead battery..well all the batteries actually...and from the power wires in the back...there's is some kind of ooze oozing from the wires...anyone know what the hell that is? I know it's not normal..cause I've never seen em like that before...

That's the sealant from the shrink tubing.

They might have got hot, from a loose, or bad connection. Is it sticky? Like melted plastic? Or could be grease from when they were assembled. Either way, be careful could have been caused by a shorted out battery.

As Ridgeline stated, it's just the sealant from the shrink tubing. Nothing to worry about. And it won't hurt you if you touch it

Looks like water to me. No way there’s enough heat there for it to be from the shrink tubing. Also that type of shrink tubing doesn’t even have that stuff in it. Cut that off and I’ll bet you have a lot of corrosion going on under there. Did you ohm the wires?
