It’s been my experience with a pump if you try to cycle another shell into the chamber by pumping it slowly then you’re more likely to hang one up in there, that’s why you pump that thing with a mf purpose and make that empty fly from here to Tijuana; runs pretty smooth if you keep it oiled good and most of all break it in by pumping it a couple hundred times, that’s what made me hang up the most, it’s not the smoothest action out the box and if you pump it like a little girl it’s gonna happen lol

The most trouble I ever had with a pump, after owning an 870 myself, was with one of those cheap Escort 12’s made in Turkey; every now and then you’d pull the trigger and even though it’s a good shell it wouldn’t go off because the firing pin wasn’t seated right in there and due to how it was made (forgot exactly how it went) I could fix it by field stripping it by taking the barrel off how you normally would and the part with the firing pin would come out with it, get it seated in there right again and keep on huntin lol

That gave me a uncontrollable laughter. But it wouldn't last long with my blacklab. Also singing squirrels would be a no.
