That's the sealant from the shrink tubing.

They might have got hot, from a loose, or bad connection. Is it sticky? Like melted plastic? Or could be grease from when they were assembled. Either way, be careful could have been caused by a shorted out battery.

2 battery were dead..they were melted...so I'm assuming the ooze had something to do with that..so that being said I didnt want to touch it lol..I just cleaned off the junk once I took off all the batteries..and replaced all batteries...

As Ridgeline stated, it's just the sealant from the shrink tubing. Nothing to worry about. And it won't hurt you if you touch it

Looks like water to me. No way there’s enough heat there for it to be from the shrink tubing. Also that type of shrink tubing doesn’t even have that stuff in it. Cut that off and I’ll bet you have a lot of corrosion going on under there. Did you ohm the wires?

That looks like, Flux seeping from where the brass end was soldered on.
