@Moon_beam
You mentioned earlier there’s no road boards out of Toledo, I’m guessing that rules out any flat bed or intermodal runs too?

If it was loaded it should have U-Pack cubes on it. There should be some kind of a weird looking forklift on the back of the flatbed to get the cubes onto the ground.

Danny707 Thanks this. -
There is no intermodal at ABF. The flatbed trailer is used to get U-Pack relocubes to and from the terminal.

There is an amount of intermodal here in Chicago. They use the rail for certain things. That is generally left up to the city drivers.

Thanks, I did not know that and actually wondered why they didn't.Cdubb and LtlAnonymous Thank this.

Yeah, it is useful for things that aren't time sensitive.

Good to know, though from what I’m gathering about the Toledo terminal I’m doubting it’s offered there.
(edit) didn’t mean to quote ya moonbeamLtlAnonymous Thanks this. -
I think pretty much all LTL companies in Chicago area do rails. Ive been to rail yard on Cicero few times and I’ve seen them all...except Dayton Freight maybeLtlAnonymous Thanks this.

Well they sent me an email this morning saying I was not being considered for the position. I hoped for the best but was not surprised my inexperience was an issue for them. Thanks everyone for the advice regardless!
MACK E-6 and LtlAnonymous Thank this. -
That's okay. The worst they can say is no.
Put your head down, get the experience necessary, and apply again.
