Bought a new laptop.

keeping it off the internet is the key to success. all it does is car ecu programming. specifically my cars. i had to put a new battery in it a couple weeks ago. the last replacement was installed 9 years ago.

 

Oh yes.. Compaq had great equipment. Installed and maintained many of them over the years at several different companies. Ya, and then HP happened... so sad.

 

You don’t use that Apple Music? I tried it they give you like 6 months free. I just can’t leave YouTube music. It literally has everything.

 

Mack,with Apple you are lucky if they don't charge you for the air you breathe.

 

Yeah the Apple tax is real. But I’ve noticed with my own Apple devices that they last much longer. The value over time for me has been great.

Apple devices get updates for years after they are released. For example, my mid-2015 MBP is running Mojave. It will be supported for over another year, and when that ends I can still update to Catalina or Big Sur. The machine is still fast for my needs. My iPhone 8+ is in a similar situation, years of life left if I choose to keep it.

But the air in their little walled garden is so pure and fresh, it would be worth it...

 

The Iphones are good quality.

FYI Apple make most off it's stuff in China.
