Become a company driver first. Learn the business inside and out. Save money. And then, if you feel you can make it as an O/O, go to a dealership and buy or at least put a sizable down payment. NEVER lease from a company you are working for. It's a fast way to the poor house.
broncrider Thanks this. -

The only thing anyone here has to evaluate you on is your typing and grammar/grammatical style. We basically know nothing about you, and only see the words on the page. If they are spelled like you are doing text messaging on a phone, then people will treat you as somewhat less serious than someone who comes on with better writing skills.
Sorry, that's just the way that the internet works. We don't know you, only evaluate you by your typing and what you tell us. -
Never in all the time that Ive been surfing the web has my grammar been an issue and when I come to a "truckers" website of all places I get this nonsense. I must of missed that news report that said truckers were at the top of the intellectual ladder, my bad.
In any event Im just asking a #### question, Im not looking to judge anybody's personality nor have mine judged on their or my spelling. I think its a age thing really tho. I bet the ones complaining arent anywhere near my age demographic(is that a big enough word for you all) -
company first, learn the business,by then the fuel prices might come down enough to make it worthwhile, and or freight rates will go up some. Who knows, you may not like it and you won't have lost money just time on your investment.

I don't agree. like he said if he were doing buisness than he would type as such,
I come to the site to give & recieve info. If i wanted to be criticized for my spelling and sentence structure, then i would go back to school to get another degree. I like many on this site do not have the time to check every thing i type... I am not writing a dstortation, thus don't want to be treated as such.....:smt111 :smt111 :smt111 . -
Language skills can take many different forms, and one thing that I appreciate is the ability of a few broken rules to get peoples attention
