I've been regional since I have been driving currently on a year and half. Just got divorced I have been thinking doing OTR for a little bit. But don't want to take a dramatic pay cut. I am currently grossing 1500 to 1800. all my experience is dry van but I am willing to do refer and I have my hazmat. I also live in winchester VA currently

It's a job researching companies. Ya have to keep on top of new listings as well. Took me 3 months to find a company. I searched here, Driver Pulse & Craigslist. I found my company mentioned in a thread here and checked it out here and on Indeed and Glassdoor. I wrote down every company truck that passed me on the highway. I was governed at 65 mph. And I called and talked to the possibles.
If you do it right it will likely be a part time job. -
My experience has been that if your grossing 1500 to 1800 a week then for the money i would stay there. The only companies I've seen that pay better are ltl an doubles. Some tank an haz mat gigs pay better. But your average bottom feeder otr general freight carrier is not gonna pay that well.TequilaSunrise Thanks this.
