    They're keeping me busy for sure. I'm one of two local drivers left down here at the Anniston terminal. I bought a house and land that will be ready in a few weeks. Cant wait to get out of my truck haha. They have me sticking to GA, AL, and TN. I know @bigkev1115 is still getting a good amount of miles.

    Gutter, bigkev1115, TB John and 4 others Thank this.

    That’s awesome. I still talk to Jim and Devin Carlson. I know them from a different company. They still ask when I’m gonna come on over. Lol. I think about it sometimes. Anyway, glad to hear all is well. Thanks for the reply.

    @LDYTRUCKER, you are one funny woman. I haven t been on here in awhile. Just been busy between work and home. Miles have been up and down every since COVID. There have been some 2500 mile weeks and there s been 4,000 plus mile weeks. I finally changed over to Geotab from Peoplegarbage, and man what a huge difference. No more ELD crashing several times a day.

    @Gutter, Jim is my dispatcher. He s a very knowledgeable ol man lol. I don t think there s anything that I ve asked him that he doesn t know except when freight is slow in some areas and what my next load may be.

    As far as Devin, he s probably the best outbound planner that I ve had. No disrespect to Matt or Darrin, they were both great planners. With Devin, I can plan my week out in advance instead of playing the guessing games.

    I m at the house now for some well deserved home time, hopefully get back into the swing of things tomorrow. Had to come home and put out some fires, some of them are still smoldering as we speak, but oh well right?

    LDYTRUCKER, Gutter and dwells40 Thank this.

    I was just curious what transmissions S&S has been bringing in? Are they switching to all automatic like most fleets or is there still a good mix of manuals if a driver prefers?

    We re switching to all automatics. However, we do still have a few 17 and 18 models with manuals left

    I'll be calling them in the morning. If the pay is decent and benefits aren't $1000/mo I might give them a try. Not moving to ND, though. Moved out of MN to TX and not going back to live. Like the heat.

    LDYTRUCKER Thanks this.

    I think I pay something like $50 a week for medical for just me. They also put money on a HSA card for you for medical expenses, even if you dont contribute to it. No need to move, lol. I personally know a few of our drivers from the SW and Texas, and they seem fine with being able to get home.

    Lonesome and Snow Hater Thank this.

    Spoke with Brian this morning. Says he'll put my app on top and get back to me. Clean record, no safety lectures, run when they give me something. Hope that's enough for them to give me the nod.

    I like that they have a refrigerator, APU & inverter on their trucks. Real food appeals to me.

    LDYTRUCKER Thanks this.

    @Snow Hater

    Definitely keep us updated!

    Also, yes, lol. Its the small creature comforts that make life a bit easier. Also shows they care enough to make sure we are comfortable.
