Is their a real benefit to paying the premium dollars for the loadboard and getting the moving averages for specific lanes, or being able to negotiate rates? I know what I’ve been hauling it for. If I can make more money bc of the information that comes with it then sure. Sign me up. But if theirs no real edge to having it then it’s a waste of money. I’ve already been hauling from load boards for a couple months now. Some post rates, and some don’t. Some would come up and sum wont. Is their a benefit to knowing what the 7 day average in a specific lane. When I stay close to home anyway. I don’t go to far anymore

I'm not sure if it is true but I was told that DAT premium gets the loads posted first before showing up on the basic plan.
-
Only way to find out is to try the premium package for a month.
I tried the Truckstop upgrade once. I didn't feel it helped me any.
Good luck -
I think they get it a few minutes before. But sometimes I may b busy and not look until 10. I try to book my loads in advance bc waiting til your empty sucks. The good loads stay booked a week In Advance l. But then I want the short tarp loads that pay 3-4$ a mile. I HAVE to b home every night. I got kids and I old lady lol

I've tried all of them and if you buy the DAT Premium for $150 per month you get access to the spot market pricing, better charts, and it has a tool that will help you to find re-loads quicker in a city your headed to. All those are great but, most brokers never pay what the spot market is unless you got inside contacts.
Bottom line is the best paying loads never make it to the load board because what you see on the load board is stuff nobody wants. Best thing to do is sign on with someone who has a private load board like James Hardie for Flatbed Freight. -
DAT power works well.
-
Do you think the extras are worth the money? Would it actually help me negotiate rates with a broker?
-
Yes, power immediately refreshes and is a live board. When freight gets tight you’ll be 1 min ahead of the others which means you get the freight
Dino soar, Dave_in_AZ and rollin coal Thank this. -
it’s only a few minutes behind. I try to book tomorrow’s loads today though so I’m ahead. It’s the rates that I was specifically asking for a benefit too. Does having a lanes 7 day moving avg give u any benefit to negotiate? In my experience so far. Some will come up a little and some won’t. I will never haul a load for TQL cus they have the ####tiest rates out of them all. Their are several others as well. Try to low ball you on the same load another is paying 100$ more for. U ask about it and they play dumb. That’s when I get upset. If one wants to play dumb then I’m going to talk to them like they’re stupid

I don’t blame you because your new and inexperienced. But, what your saying makes no sense at all. A few minutes behind has nothing to do with when the load moves.
As for the averages, as inexperienced as you are, it probably would help you more then anyone.Brettj3876 Thanks this.
