Looking to Team...North Florida

Decided to go ahead and post this here too. I posted same thread at Trucking Jobs.

I hope this is an appropriate post for this thread. I assume that a moderator will remove it if not.

Based on my preliminary company search, it appears that one has a much better opportunity to get on with a company as a team driver rather than solo. I also think that teams will result in higher pay for its members (from perhaps longer and harder runs and longer periods away from home) than a solo driver.

In less than 4 weeks I will graduate driving course with my CDL A and I am looking for someone in the Greater Jacksonville FL area who is interested in teaming for a minimum of 6-12 months. I am using team driving as a lower barrier to entry into the industry. I think in about a year, unless Obama passes healthcare legislation and totally cooks the US economy, that the country will be in a firm recovery and that there will be some sweet driving jobs available.

I am reluctant to go to orientation without a designated teammate because I am afraid I will get paired with someone who is challenged in the areas of personal hygiene and I would not be able to tolerate that. I also need to team with someone who doesn't smoke. I am a very healthy 49 year old but tobacco smoke makes me physically ill.

I don't do things halfway so, if you are interested in pursuing such an arrangement, please be serious about being an OTR truck driver. I am ready to roll and looking for someone ready to make the best money we can as newbies.

I really don't care about the company I work for to start, so, if anyone is interested, and is in a similar situation as am I, please let me know.
